The Motorpoint British Supersport Championship protected by Datatag continues to lead the support class line-up and has become the place for manufacturers to go head-to head and upcoming talent to be showcased. Alastair Seeley secured the 2011 title for Suzuki, but with him moving up to BSB this season the field has been thrown wide open. Ben Wilson and Gearlink Kawasaki are aiming for the title they just missed out on last year, whilst the likes of Billy McConnell, Jack Kennedy and Jimmy Hill are also targeting a maiden crown.
In the fiercely-competitive Metzeler National Superstock 1000 HM Plant Honda are focused on winning back the title with Jason O'Halloran and Gary Johnson. BMW are aiming for three consecutive championships with the Buildbase BMW expected to return after winning the title last season whilst Danny Buchan returns after missing out on the crown in 2011.
The Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship line-up will feature upcoming riders ready to take the next step. The "Junior Superstock" class returned in 2008 and with full grids of aspiring riders the championship went down to the wire.
The Monster Energy Motostar British Championship continues to produce the UK's upcoming talent with 2011 champion Kyle Ryde winning last year's title by just two points to become the youngest victor in the history of the class. Riders set to challenge include Tarran Mackenzie onboard the Redline KTM.
The Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) is a competitive one-make series backed by the Triumph factory and continues to be a proving ground for upcoming riders. The winner of the 2012 TCC will step up to either Junior Superstock (if under 26) or Supersport Cup (if aged 26-32), with T3 Racing for the 2013 season.
The Ducati 848 Challenge is another closely-contested one-make series held in the UK and in Europe. Former world and British champion Neil Hodgson is the Series Ambassador and will be present to mentor younger riders as well as offer advice to those more experienced competitors. The Championship winner will receive an 848EVO.
The Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship is set for an even bigger year in 2012 with eight rounds scheduled as it becomes an official partner series of BSB along with the Ducati 848 Challenge and Triumph Triple Challenge series'.
